CONGRATULATIONS to Mr. and Mrs. Mike Fisher!!

If you haven't already heard, hockey hottie Mike Fisher and country-singing sensation Carrie Underwood were married this past Saturday (July 10th) under a large tent at the prestigious Ritz-Carlton, Reynolds Plantation along Lake Oconee in Greensboro, Georgia  (pictured below - courtesy of Radaronline.com ... "To the hoops and hollers of "Woo Hoo" and "Let's Party" Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher said "I do" in Georgia Saturday night, RadarOnline.com can exclusively report.").  The official wedding planner described the ceremony as "a spiritual expression of their love" – a special moment for a "very special couple" that included classical music and the couple's favorite Bible readings.  Carrie wore a Chantilly lace dress created for her by Monique Lhuillier, who also designed the bridesmaids’ dresses.  And via Twitter, @brandonheath: It's been a tough secret to keep, but sang in Carrie Underwood and Mike Fishers wedding last night. So honored and thankful to be here (Brandon Heath sang "Love Never Fails" for Mr. and Mrs Fisher's first dance together!).

Security was pretty tight at the resort; in fact, the entire 251 rooms were booked exclusively for the wedding and guests staying at the resort last week were asked to check out promptly via letter.  A hotel insider told media sources that the resort was decorated in a "Hee-Haw theme" with bales of hay and scarecrows on display. On Friday, the day prior to the couple's nuptuals, the rehearsal and dinner were capped off with a fireworks display around 9:30 that evening.

Among the couple's many family and friends were all-star guests of American Idol fame Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul, and Simon Cowell as well as country music stars Faith Hill, Randy Jackson, and Garth Brooks; and NHLers Wade Redden, Shean Donovan, and Nick Foligno.

The couple released the following statement:
“We could not feel more blessed to have found each other and to have shared this day with our friends and family that mean so much to us!” signing their names “Mike & Carrie Fisher.”
Unfortunately, there haven't been any pictures of the actual wedding pop up YET but it's been reported that PEOPLE magazine have purchased the exclusive rights to those photos which is rumored to have had a $2 million price tag!  The Montreal Gazette / Ottawa Citizen has reported that full-colour glossy spreads of the bride, the bridesmaids and the dinner menu will be featured in the magazine (once those are released, you can be sure that they'll be posted here!).

The Ottawa Citizen has a bunch of awesome photos of the guests enjoying their time at the resort before the wedding (below is one of Wade Redden, Shean Donovan, and Nick Foligno!)

The couple left early Sunday morning (looking incredibly happy) on their super-secret honeymoon location that Mike personally planned for he and his new wife (pictured left & below - courtesy of People.com and Radaronline.com).
