Western Conference Hottie: Jason Arnott (Nashville Predators)

Ok, I know, he's an ex-Star, but I do succumb to homer tendencies every so often and well. Stars players are HOT. (Which may simply be because after watching them so much I seem to develop a "lustful familiarity", oh well...) Be that as it may. For your drooling pleasure this week, former Star, but current Predator. Centerfold (all be it, only in playgirl), Centerman, Jason Arnott.

IMPORTANT HOCKEY STUFF: He was drafted by the Edmonton Oilers in the 1st round (7th overall) on June 26 1993, following an impressive tenure with the Oshawa Generals in the OHL. In 1993-94, as a rookie, Arnott played 78 games as a left winger, scored 68 points and was the runner-up to future teammate Martin Brodeur for the Calder Memorial Trophy for rookie of the year. On January 4, 1998 Arnott was traded to the New Jersey Devils along with Bryan Muir for Valeri Zelepukin and Bill Guerin. As a member of the A Line on the New Jersey Devils with Patrik Eliáš and Petr Sýkora (Yes, the same one) he led the team to the 2000 Stanley Cup championship, scoring the Cup-winning goal in double overtime of game six against the Dallas Stars. On March 19, 2002 he was traded to the Dallas Stars with Randy McKay for Joe Nieuwendyk and Jamie Langenbrunner, a hugely unpopular trade in Dallas. (I honestly wasn't as incised as some Dallas fans about it). Posted career-highs in games played (81), assists (44) and points (32g-44a-76pts) with Dallas in 2005-06 and ranked second on the Stars in points, goals and game-winners (5) Led Dallas in assists (36) and plus-minus rating (+23) in 2003-04 and ranked second on the team in points (21g-36a-57pts) and game-winners (5) Named NHL Rookie of the Year in 1994 by The Hockey News, The Sporting News and Beckett Publications… Won a gold medal with Team Canada at the 1994 World Junior Championships in Milan, Italy.

THE REALLY IMPORTANT STUFF: 6'5", 220lb almost redheaded, whiskey eyed (check out the eyelashes SWOON!!!), Captian of the Preds. Who looks particularly delicious in a suit jacket. Fabulous hair, really. I just love hair like that. The kind that kind of drops in a guys eyes like he's a little bit too busy to have it "tidied up" (We'll leave just exactly what he's "busy" with to the imagination. I know exactly where and what my imagination conjures up [Stephanie, quit laughing, just because your familiar with my imagination.]) I'm a redneck girl, so I'm really turned on by the fact that he enjoys hunting, fishing, golf and boating. (Ok, I'll admit, not so much the boating. But the hunting and fishing, hell yea.) Favorite things include: The Shawshank Redemption (movie), CSI (TV show), Rob Thomas (band/musician), Cherlize Theron (actress), lobster (food) [gag, I'm sorry] and Hawaii (vacation spot)… Lists Bruce Willis as the person he would most like to meet…(This is amazingly awesome to me.) Scoring the game-winning/series-clinching goal in double overtime of the 2000 Stanley Cup Finals is his favorite hockey memory… Enjoys Nashville because of its beauty, friendly people, unique culture and country music… Wife – Dina; Son – Chase… Has a dog named Rocky. (HE'S GOT A DOG!!!!! Ok, I promise to control myself. A DOG!! sorry, I will exercise self control this time.)

My estrogen was very, very sad to see him leave Dallas. Although, I'm very very happy for his success in Nashville. He's truly a standup guy.
