Over the past few weeks, I've received a few emails about the blog's title graphic (you know, that yummy one that's at the very top of the blog - the VERY FIRST THING you see everytime you visit the blog!).
It seems that some of you wouldn't mind my changing that. OF COURSE I know that it was pretty "outdated" shortly after I created it (Whitney has been gone for a while now!), but with the life of the blog it's become sort of a signature. At least that's the way I see it. It defines the blog and what it's all about ... when you see it, you think of the blog (our "calling card" ... the FACE of the blog). In fact, we've had our "15 minutes of fame" with that graphic ... remember our being mentioned on a Dallas radion station who was interviewing Loui Eriksson??!!! NO??CLICK HERE for more on that and see the pic below!!! ; )
As much as I've been hesitant to do it, I thought maybe a good thing for me to do would be to pose the question to all of you, HftL's loyal readers, and see what the majority of you feel. So I've posted a poll at the top-left side of the blog which will be open for a little over a week. I'll make my decision based on the outcome of the poll.
There's not an option to include comments, but if you feel strongly one way or the other OR if you just want to pass along your thoughts, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO EMAIL ME AT firstname.lastname@example.org (I always welcome and enjoy reading / responding to your emails!)!!
Got HP BABY, ENGAGEMENT, OR WEDDING NEWS to share??? Email HftL at:email@example.com PLEASE KEEP IN MIND ... we'll need some solid confirmation (a link, news source, scan of article, etc.) emailed with it as the blog likes to post legitimate news and tries to stay clear of gossip ; )
Holding Out for A Hero Bonnie Tyler (HftL's Theme Song)
Where have all the good men gone
And where are all the gods?
Where's the street-wise Hercules
To fight the rising odds?
Isn't there a white knight upon a fiery steed?
Late at night I toss and turn and dream of what I need
I need a hero
I'm holding out for a hero 'til the end of the night
He's gotta be strong
And he's gotta be fast
And he's gotta be fresh from the fight
I need a hero
I'm holding out for a hero 'til the morning light
He's gotta be sure
And it's gotta be soon
And he's gotta be larger than life
Somewhere after midnight
In my wildest fantasy
Somewhere just beyond my reach
There's someone reaching back for me
Racing on the thunder end rising with the heat
It's gonna take a superman to sweep me off my feet
Up where the mountains meet the heavens above
Out where the lightning splits the sea
I would swear that there's someone somewhere
Through the wind end the chill and the rain
And the storm and the flood
I can feel his approach
Like the fire in my blood
