BAD BOY of Winter: David Clarkson (New Jersey Devils)

David Clarkson is the New Jersey Devils' team enforcer. He's one of the top players with the number of fighting majors totaling 12 tying him with three other players for fourth place (as of 01/29/2009). His high for fighting majors throughout his entire hockey career (OHL, AHL, NHL) is 21 during the regular 2007-2008 NHL season. He's currently on track to surpass that high.

According to hockeyfights.com, he has won six of those fights with two others ending in draws and only four losses.

His best fight by far was on January 2, 2009 against Tom Kostopoulos of the Montreal Canadiens. Both players received 5-minute fighting majors, but it's apparent that Clarkson got the better of Kostopoulos here (it's a little slow-starting, but Clarkson gets some solid shots in within the minute the fight lasts).

@25superstar - I completely agree with you!! After doing research on numerous BAD BOYS, it appears that we're VERY lucky in the fact that we have 2 of the best patrolling the ice for the Pens in Godard and Bissy.

Ladies, please keep in mind that this site is meant to broaden our knowledge and interest of the world of hockey (and HOT hockey players, of course!), and even though we may be somewhat bias as Pens fans (I am SO the biggest Pens homer), we would be remiss to overlook any player regardless of our personal opinion / preference -- there are SO MANY hockey hotties that deserve "HftL Love!"

OMG, yes, we are so lucky.

We do have the best enforcer duo in the league. (in Godard and Bissi).

Since I do have some other allegiances I have to withhold the title of "the very best".

Sorry Pens ladies.

Since I guess it's my turn next week, I'll introduce you all.
