Hockey is seasonal and hockey players lives seem to be cyclic to accomodate that season if you haven't already noticed. Weddings are in the summer and babies usually come in the fall / winter.
And there has been plenty of activity this past summer just as any other when it comes to weddings and even a few babies and engagements.
