We get a request this week and it's a good thing too since I'm extra busy again this week; I need all the help I can get. So if I'm missing some Western Conference Hotness I should be giving some attention to, please ladies, let me know about it.
This weeks victim is Tanner Glass of the VAN Canucks. He comes to us at the suggestion of an HftL reader who, as she puts it ... "was putzing around on hockey sights and I stumbled across Tanner Glass from the Canucks and just fell in love!" I can't say that I blame her.

IMPORTANT HOCKEY STUFF: Glass moved from his hometown Craven, Saskatchewan, at 16 years old to play Junior A in the British Columbia Junior Hockey League (BCHL) with the Nanaimo Clippers. He was drafted 265th overall in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft by the Florida Panthers out of junior. The following season, in 2003–04, he joined the college hockey ranks with Dartmouth College of the NCAA, where he played a full four years, captaining the team as a senior.
Upon the completion of his fourth and final college year, graduating from Dartmouth with a history degree, Glass played four games in the AHL with the Panthers' minor league affiliate, the Rochester Americans, making his professional hockey debut. He then split the 2007–08 season between the Americans and the Panthers, playing 41 games in his rookie NHL season. He played his first NHL game on November 12, 2007 versus the Carolina Hurricanes and scored his first NHL goal on January 22, 2008 against Ray Emery of the Ottawa Senators.
Assigned to the Americans to start the 2008–09 season, Glass injured his left ear early in the campaign with a torn ear drum, as well as a damaged labrum and bursa sac. He managed to play 44 games with Rochester while also being called up for three games with Florida, but was not tendered a fying offer in the off-season by the Panthers.
Becoming an unrestricted free agent on July 1, 2009, Glass was signed by the Vancouver Canucks to a two-way deal worth $500,000 at the NHL level. With early injuries to Canucks forwards during training camp, Glass made the lineup for the start of the season as the thirteenth forward. He played his first game with the Canucks on October 7 in a 7–1 win over the Montreal Canadiens.
After 10 games with the Canucks, Glass scored his first goal with the Canucks against the Colorado Avalanche.
REALLY IMPORTANT STUFF: I'm not even fighting it ... this is the hottest thing about him --
Aside from that he's about 6'1" 205lbs of hockey-playing dynamite. How sexy is it that he pretty much tears Schenn apart? Who doesn't love a guy who can and does defend himself and his teammates?!!!
There's also this below, illustrating that he's a pretty cool guy and DEFINITELY a hard worker [which coincidentally I feel translates into a "hard worker"... hint, hint].
We all have to thank our lucky stars, ahem, sorry about that, Canucks. For Canadian hockey media. Because we've got the King of the Rink feature from the Canucks website. I know how some girls feel about the mullet that he wore for oh-so-long, but there is definitely something special about a guy who can pull it off.

OH MY GOD....
I may need to move to Vancouver because that hockey playing specimen is something else...
My oh my... Can i just say I can't WAIT for the Pens/Canucks game...???
I'm afraid the ice will melt from the hotness on it... Staalzy, Geno, MAF, Sid, AND Glass...
*Faints from excessive levels of gorgeous hockey players...*
Thanks so much for posting Tanner for me! You found some AWESOME pics : )
@aBurghGirl- I'm with you on that ice melting possibility!!! ; )
yay! I love me some Tanner Glass. :)
as for the pens/canucks game...I am probably one of the only people dreading the game. I don't think I'll even watch it. Seeing my absolute favorite teams play each other just doesn't sound like a fun time.
@ Kim... I'm sorry for that, I do feel your pain. I could hardly watch the Pens/Wild game. (I have a soft spot for the Wild).
I'm definitely excited to see some ridiculously hot men on the ice in Vancouver...
I think that Dartmouth degree is pretty hot. :-) Also, I've wondered whether hockey players get ear injuries, because the helmets leave their ears exposed. Guess that question got answered!
I'm going to have to TiVo the Pens/Canucks game, but it'll defo be more fun to watch than I'd originally thought!
That's one of the BEST PARTS of posting players from other teams ... you get familiar with them and recognize them when the Pens (or "your" team) play their team ... that's one of my favorite things, at least! I recognize them and know a little about them (and impress my husband and others with the information!)!! ; P
I don't understand the Tanner Glass appeal, but every other girl out here in Vancouver is crazy over him. Maybe it's just because I'm busy drooling over Alex Edler so I don't notice the other guys, though, haha.
Anyways, I'm glad to see some Vancouver boys getting in the mix. Everyone's so focused on Luongo and the Sedins, are cuties get overlooked most of the time.
Visual aids are so useful as educational tools, aren't they? ;-)
@CrackerLilo -- ABSOLUTELY!!! ; )
@Krista J -- glad to oblige ... I'll have Kena (our WCH "specialist") look into Edler for you!! ; )
THANKS for all the comments ... KEEP 'EM COMING!!!
: D
Yeah Tanner Glass is cute, but did you see Luke Schenn in that video? He's my favourite player, and really sexy! Maybe HftL could do an EC Eye Candy on him sometime?
@Caroline -- I'll definitely keep him in mind (I know alot of girls have a thing for him!)!! We always appreciate suggestions ... it's not that we're "ignoring" the HOTTIES, there's just TOO DAMN MANY of them!!! ; P
KEEP THE SUGGESTIONS COMING ... they're always helpful to us here at HftL!!!
: )
